Partner not required for any class – each class session is 55 minutes.
Level Key
Beginning - for dancers with little or no dance experience
Beginning/Intermediate - for dancers who have progressed beyond the hesitant stage and are starting to feel comfortable with standard dance maneuvers
Intermediate - for dancers with some working knowledge and experience of musical rhythms and the ability to perform slightly intricate dance patterns
Intermediate/Advanced - for those who are coming into their own as polished dancers and are able to follow most dance patterns and rhythms
Advanced - for dancers familiar with the various rhythms and with abilities to perform intricate moves and patterns and improvise freely with them.
Class Rates
$15 registration fee (annual fee)
14 Week Session per person: 1 Class/$165; 2 Classes/$295; 3 Classes/$445; 4 Classes $595
$15/ drop-in pass (one 55 minute class)
Payment is non-refundable. A missed class may be made up by attending any other weekly class.
Private Lessons
Take a private lesson in any social dance style from one of our knowledgeable and experienced instructors to prepare for an upcoming event or to improve your technique. (These make fabulous gifts!) E-mail heather@unstrictlyballroom.org to schedule your appointment. Each private lesson is 50 minutes. $50/ private lesson/ 1-2 people/ $10 each additional person. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or a fee will be incurred. “No-shows” will be charged the full amount.
Class Attire
Dress comfortably and bring your dance shoes with you to class; street shoes are not permitted on the dance floor. If you don’t have ballroom shoes, please bring non-marking, slick soled shoes. Consult our web site for references to trusted dance apparel vendors.
Studio Policy
No food or drink is permitted on the dance floor. Please keep the noise level down to a minimum when other classes are being conducted. Thank you for your consideration!

Class Descriptions
Beginning Classes:
Ballroom Sampler Ia; Wednesdays 7:30pm; 14 weeks: 1/9-4/16. Perfect introduction to ballroom dance for beginners; great chance to review basics in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Dances taught: Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Mambo and West Coast Swing.
Ballroom Sampler Ib; Sundays 2:00pm; 14 weeks: 1/6–4/20. Perfect introduction to ballroom dance for beginners; great chance to review basics in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Dances taught: Waltz, Tango, Rumba and East Coast Swing.
Beginning/Intermediate Classes:
Latin Social Dance; Mondays 5:30pm; 14 weeks: 1/7-4/14 . Basics and latest moves of today's most popular Latin social dances. Dances taught: Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.
Intermediate:
Ballroom Sampler 2; Sundays 3:00pm; 14 weeks: 1/6-4/20. Extensive knowledge of the basics of both smooth and rhythm styles required. Thorough attention given to technique, style, vocabulary and musicality. Prerequisites: one year experience in ballroom and Latin. Dances taught: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and Mambo.
Advanced Classes:
Ballroom 3a; Sundays 6:00pm; 14 weeks: 1/6-4/20. Extensive knowledge of the basics of both smooth and rhythm styles required and at least 2 years of experience. Dances taught: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and Mambo.
Ballroom 3b; Fridays 5:30pm; 14 weeks: 1/11-4/18. Extensive knowledge of the basics of both smooth and rhythm styles required and at least 2 years of experience. Dances taught: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and Mambo.
Showcase; Fridays 6:30pm; 14 weeks: 1/11-4/18. Extensive knowledge of the basics of both smooth and rhythm styles required. Must be enrolled in Ballroom 2 or 3. Performance choreography and performance opportunities. Must commit to full year being January through May.
